The ransom notes were shared with local Arizona television stations KOLD and KGUN, along with TMZ, and it was demanded that USD 4 million in Bitcoin should be paid in exchange for Nancy Guthrie’s safe return to her home. The deadline of the transaction was kept for February 5, and if not met, an increased amount of USD 6 million in Bitcoin was demanded with a deadline of February 9, 2026, 5 PM (ET).
