HC Suggests Sunjay Kapur’s Family To Sort The Inheritance Dispute With Mediation, ‘Dirty Linen In..’

The Delhi High Court is currently looking into the case of late businessman, Sunjay Kapur’s inheritance. The case that began with a plea filed by Bollywood actress, Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay’s two children, Samaira and Kiaan Raj, has taken a wild turn with all the members of the Kapur family standing against one another over Sunjay’s estate, which is estimated to be around Rs. 30,000 crore. The court was in session on February 10, 2026, and had now urged the family to consider mediation to sort their issues.

On February 10, 2026, the Delhi High Court asked the parties fighting over late businessman, Sunjay Kapur’s estate to consider resolving the dispute through mediation. During the session, Justice Mini Pushkarna said the case reflects a “sorry state of affairs” and that “a lot of dirty linen was being washed in the open”. The Court expressed its grief over the great loss the Kapur family has suffered with the passing of Sunjay, but also asserted that the family should thank God for blessing them with significant financial wealth.
