Savannah Guthrie Is All Set To Rejoin TODAY Show In The First Week Of April Amid Nancy’s Kidnapping

Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, has been missing for nearly two months. With a heavy heart and a strong will, Savannah will now offically head back to the TODAY show, as a co-host. She will be seen on the show, nearly two months after her mom’s sudden disappearance. On March 27, 2026, anchor, Hoda Kotb announced that Savannah would be back on the TODAY show with Craig Melvin.

A report by TMZ revealed that Savannah Guthrie is expected to return to the TODAY show on April 6, 2026. This new development has come amid her mom, Nancy Guthrie’s abduction, where no suspect has yet been arrested. Hoda Kotb confirmed that Savannah will be back as the search for 84-year-old Nancy continues. This will be Savannah’s first appearance since January 30, 2026. Two days post that, around February 1, 2026, Nancy was reportedly missing from her house in Arizona. Savannah’s colleague, Craig, revealed that he cannot wait to welcome Savannah back with open arms. Savannah, speaking on returning to the TODAY show, shared:

“When times are hard, you want to be with your family. And I want to be with my family. And so I don’t know if I can do it. I don’t know if I’ll belong anymore, but I would like to try. I would like to try… I’m not going to be the same. But maybe it’s like that old poem: ‘More beautiful in the broken places.”
