A report by TMZ revealed that Savannah Guthrie is expected to return to the TODAY show on April 6, 2026. This new development has come amid her mom, Nancy Guthrie’s abduction, where no suspect has yet been arrested. Hoda Kotb confirmed that Savannah will be back as the search for 84-year-old Nancy continues. This will be Savannah’s first appearance since January 30, 2026. Two days post that, around February 1, 2026, Nancy was reportedly missing from her house in Arizona. Savannah’s colleague, Craig, revealed that he cannot wait to welcome Savannah back with open arms. Savannah, speaking on returning to the TODAY show, shared:
“When times are hard, you want to be with your family. And I want to be with my family. And so I don’t know if I can do it. I don’t know if I’ll belong anymore, but I would like to try.
