In a fresh interview with Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie explained what has helped her through her family’s tragedy. The Today co-host shared that it is faith that made her feel connected to her mom. Savannah stated that she can’t let grief win, as her mom, Nancy, taught her how to fight in difficult times. Savannah highlighted that there was a time when her 84-year-old mom, Nancy, suffered a lot in life, but she remained hopeful and laughed through it. Savannah added that Nancy taught them how to stand strong through a tough phase. She was quoted as saying:
“Faith is how I will stay connected to my mom. God is how I’m holding hands with my mom. And I won’t let sadness win for her. She taught me. I saw her grieve. I saw her world shatter. I saw it. And I saw her get up, and I saw her believe. And I saw her love. And I saw her hope, and I saw her smile, and I saw her laugh. I saw her joy. I saw her love of the world and adventure. I saw her belief. I saw her faith. She taught me. She taught all of us.”
