It’s been a year since Sunjay Kapur’s untimely passing in London. And a lot has changed since then. Sunjay Kapur’s ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor and his third wife, Priya Kapur, have changed. It all started after Karisma filed an inheritance case against Priya Kapur on behalf of her children, Samaira Kapur and Kiaan Kapur. Later, Karisma Kapoor’s ex-mother-in-law also joined the legal battle by filing a case against her present daughter-in-law, Priya Kapur, over the estate issue.
The Supreme Court asked Rani Kapur to stop fighting the legal case with her daughter-in-law
Rani Kapur took her son, Sunjay Kapur’s widow, Priya Kapur, to the court over the multi-crore property dispute, which was left behind her son after his untimely demise. After hearing her plea, a bench led by Justice J B Pardiwala nudged the 80 year old to settle case. He stated that it is going to be a long case and the lady is also already 80s, but they encourage mediation. The judge said:
“It would be a long drawn litigation. The plaintiff is 80 years of age. It will be in the interest of parties if they go for mediation and decide the issue peacefully. We shall hear the matter on merits; however, we shall encourage mediation.”
