Lil Durk Acquitted Of Murder-For-Hire Charges, Meet His Wife India Royale And His Seven Children

Lil Durk has been acquitted of the most serious charges in his closely watched federal murder-for-hire case within a little over two weeks. The Grammy-winning rapper broke down in tears as the verdict was read Friday, September 11, 2026, while his wife, India Royale, was seen comforting his mother from the courtroom gallery.
A Los Angeles jury found Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, not guilty of conspiracy, stalking resulting in death, and murder-for-hire charges related to a 2022 shooting incident. Prosecutors alleged that Durk orchestrated the shooting that targeted rapper Quando Rondo as retaliation for the 2020 killing of Durk’s friend and collaborator King Von. While Quando survived the shooting, his cousin, Saviay’a “Lul Pab” Robinson, was killed.
Durk’s defense team maintained that the prosecutors’ case relied heavily on cooperating witnesses who had incentives to testify against the rapper and had also pled guilty.
